Ajaska — Google Ads API integration
Ajaska is the internal marketing reporting and planning application of Ajaska GmbH, Munich, Germany. Ajaska GmbH is a holding company for digital reach, performance marketing and publishing (see ajaska.de). This page describes what the Ajaska application does with the Google Ads API.
Who uses the app
Only employees of Ajaska GmbH and its group companies (Happy Story GmbH and Einfach zum Angebot GmbH) use Ajaska. It is not offered to the public or to third parties. It only connects to Google Ads accounts that the Ajaska group owns or manages.
What the app does
1. Reporting import
Ajaska regularly downloads performance reports for our own Google Ads campaigns into our internal reporting system (the "tracker"). These reports cover campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords, with metrics such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value. In the tracker, marketing and finance staff compare advertising cost with the revenue it generated. They use this to calculate profit and ROI for each campaign and day, and to decide where to spend budget.
2. Keyword planning
Our marketing team uses the Google Ads Keyword Planner features of the API through Ajaska. With it they generate keyword ideas and look up historical search volume, competition and bid ranges. They also get forecasts for planned keywords. We use this to research topics for our websites and to plan new Google Ads campaigns.
What the app does not do
- Ajaska does not sell, rent or share Google Ads data with third parties.
- Ajaska does not offer Google Ads data or Google Ads management as a service to external customers.
- Ajaska does not use Google Ads data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
How access works
An authorized Ajaska employee signs in with their Google account through Google's OAuth 2.0 consent screen. Ajaska requests only the Google Ads API scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). Ajaska stores the resulting OAuth token in encrypted form on access-restricted servers. It uses the token only for the reporting and keyword-planning requests described above. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Privacy and terms
Our Privacy Policy for the Ajaska Google Ads API integration explains how we access, use, store, protect and delete Google user data. Our Terms of Service govern use of the application. The general privacy policy for our websites is available in German at Datenschutzerklärung.
